Hi,

Inkscape reliable SEGVs if you try and save with unknown extension:

File -> Save As
Select "Guess from extension"
type a filename with an unknown extension e.g. "foo.pdf"
SEGV

Inkscape should instead emit an error of the form "unknown or
unsupported file extension".
