Bug Description

I'm trying to export file "opengost_font_sample.svg" (see in archive) to EPS.
Text "This is OpenGOST type A font (italic)" has italic typeface, but in result file "opengost_font_sample.eps" (see in archive) typeface is normal.
The same issue is present when trying to print SVG file from Inkscape editor.

OpenGOST font is attached (see "opengostfont-otf-0.3.zip" file in archive)

Screenshot of EPS export options is also attached (see "export options.jpeg" file in archive)

AFAICT the same underlying issue as already tracked in
- Bug #200899 “Font style ignored in eps/pdf output”
  <https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/200899>

The font provided in the tar archive does not have a an italic style variant - the "faux" (aka "synthesized") italic which can be applied in Inkscape <= 0.48 is not supported in cairo-based exports (PDF/PS/EPS).

Upcoming 0.91 will no longer support to apply "faux" (synthesized) font styles (see also http://tavmjong.free.fr/blog/?p=822 ).

Proposing to link as duplicate to bug #200899.
