FontAwesome not rendered (0.91+)

I downloaded and installed 0.91 pre (inkscape-0.91pre2-x64.r13532.20140826). I opened one of my working files which contains text elements rendered with FontAwesome TTF fonts (http://fontawesome.io/). All of the text elements using FontAwesome were rendered with the default "sans serif" instead of FontAwesome. Trying to force the text element to use "FontAwesome" resulted in the "unicode block" fallback to be rendered instead of the proper FontAwesome font.

I opened the same file in 0.45.8 and FontAwesome is rendered properly.

Please test with latest pre-release version 0.91pre3 (see <https://inkscape.org/en/download/> for download links).

Could you please also attach same SVG files which use this icon font, to ease further investigation?

Not reproduced with attached SVG file using Inkscape 0.48.5 and Inkscape 0.91pre3 on OS X 10.7.5: the icons from the 'FontAwesome' font render as expected in Inkscape on-canvas, and when viewing the SVG file in web browsers like Firefox and Chromium.
