Misaligned text reproduced with libcdr command line tool (Inkscape doesn't port-process the SVG output it gets from libcdr):
- text center-aligned with libcdr 0.0.10
- text displaced with libcdr 0.0.14, 0.0.16, 0.1.0

xhtml output (with embedded SVG) of cdr2xhtml from libcdr 0.0.10 and 0.1.0 (git master) attached.

AFAICT upstream issue in libcdr.

Similar offset of text objects seen e.g. with the example files in these upstream reports:

Reproduced on Windows 7, Inkscape trunk rev. 14747 (32-bit), with libcdr-0.1.2 (the most recent version).
Not reproduced with LibreOffice Draw 5.1.1.3 (same libcdr version I guess).

To be confirmed on other operating systems.

Not reproduced with LibreOffice Draw 5.0.5 (same libcdr version).

So the code is probably in the Inkscape code.

Did you try with the command line tools to convert to xhtml (it has the drawing embedded as SVG)? It could be the SVG exporter of the library (as opposed to exports based on LO formats), not Inkscape's code itself (which AFAIU does nothing but import the SVG exported by the library).

~suv - Thanks for your suggestion! The output produced by cdr2xhtml doesn't render as expected. So Inkscape has nothing to do with the bug.
I'm going to create new upstream reports targeting libcdr (and not LibreOffice like the currently linked ones).

@Fred Philpott - Do you still have Corel Draw installed? If so, it would be very helpful if you could attach a screenshot of the file when viewed in Corel Draw. Thanks in advance!
