Pasting from Windows 'Snipping Tool' results in crash

I tested this on 3 different machines after installing .91 pre-release version. Copying and pasting from snipping tool crashes Inkscape completely, one doesn't even get an error message.

Anybody else reproduce this? Only tested with Win7 64-bit.

not reproduced on Windows 7 (64 bit), using Inkscape 0.91pre1_64bit (Jun 18 2014).
This is the build that came from the file inkscape-0.91pre1-x64.msi, at:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscape/files/inkscape/0.91pre1/

I am using right-click Copy and right-click Paste, or the sequence ctrl-C and ctrl-V.
Is this what you are doing?

sorry, I forgot about the toolbar. Now I am using the Copy and Paste icons that are directly on the tool bar at the right side, but still no crash.

@Alex - does the reported issue still reproduce on your system with latest Inkscape 0.92.0 r15299?

(A likely trigger of such crashes is bug #1467103, which was fixed for the 64bit packages of Inkscape 0.92)

Thank you for reporting back - good to know that the crashes no longer reproduce.

Bug #1467103 mentioned earlier tracked crashes on paste/import if certain other image format had been displayed (on-canvas, or as preview in the file dialog) earlier in the current session, and is fixed in current stable 64bit packages for Windows. Based on the symptoms I'll link this report as duplicate to bug #1467103.
