Bug Description

Make a new document. Create a grid. Open the undo history. Open Document Properties. Go to the Grids section. In "Major grid line every:", change the number in the field. After this change, no entry will appear in the undo history.

Seen in Windows 8.1, Inkscape 0.48.4 and 0.91 trunk.

I believe this is expected behavior. However, leaving off in the Document Properties dialog after attempting above steps, create a new Axonometric grid, and then undo and redo that — the dialog will not update to display the new grid then.

The Axonometric undo/redo behavior described is in bug 1330006.

Creating the grid appears in Undo History. I don't see why changes to grids shouldn't, since the grid belongs to the document, and not Inkscape preferences.

(ATM I'm not sure whether the individual aspects of "document properties changes not recorded in the undo history" should actually be tracked in separate reports, or whether it would be better to update the list in earlier bug #592011)

Changed in inkscape:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Confirmed
