Bug Description

I'm using Inkscape 0.48.2 r9819 on OS X 10.9.2 with Xquartz 2.7.5. It can't find any of the fonts stored in /System/Library/Fonts. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with font types, all .dFont, .ttc, .ttf and .otf files in /Library/Fonts are present in the font menu.

Would be great if you could fix this!

The system Fonts folder had been disabled intentionally due to pango issues with certain types of fonts:

This is no longer an issue with recent versions of pango, and can be re-enabled in future Inkscape packages for OS X which include updated versions of the dependencies.
