Bug Description

default preferences
in v0.48.4 r9939
linux mint 15

When inkscape starts with default preferences,
the window is quite small,
if one opens the xml editor,
then the terminal outputs this message 4 times:
(inkscape:12894): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_widget_get_direction: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

If one resizes the inkscape window to show all the top tool bar buttons (align, preferences, document properties)
then 3 of those messages shows up.

If one now resizes the height or the middle resize handle between
the left and right panel, then more of those messages show up.

Also if one draws enough objects to cause the vertical scrollbar
to show up, then the message shows up once more.

Pressing undo to remove the object that made the scrollbar show up,
makes the scrollbar disappear and another one of the message above gets displayed.

reproduced with 0.48.4 and 0.48.5 on OS X 10.7.5 - AFAICT this depends on the theme (or theme engine(s)) used. Observed so far with 'Adwaita' for GTK2, but not e.g. with stock 'Raleigh', Clearlooks or Numix theme.

Not reproduced with trunk builds using the same themes.

Changed in inkscape:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Confirmed
