Bug Description
Tested on Windows XP
Inkscape 0.48+devel r12217
Inkscape 0.48+devel r12816
Affected printers (same result on both printers):
Physically connected to computer: Epson Stylus DX 4250
Virtual: Bullzip PDF printer
Steps to reproduce:
1. New file from default template, just open Inkscape.
2. Insert an image file (have not tested other formats than png)
3. Convert image to pattern.
4. Draw a line, preferably an S shape that covers most of the canvas
5. Move the image (pattern) to top
6. Extensions --> Generate from Path --> Scatter
7. Use the following settings in Scatter dialog box:
-- Follow path orientation = True
-- Stretch spaces to fit skeleton length = False
-- Space between copies = 1,0
-- Normal offset = 0,0
-- Pattern is vertical = False
-- Original pattern will be = "Copied"
-- Duplicate the pattern before deformation = True
-- If pattern is a group, pick group members = False
-- Pick group members = "Randomly"
-- Live preview = False
8. Apply changes
9. Print
Expected behaviour is that output from printer matches what seen on canvas. But all the graphics along the path is missing when the canvas is printed.
Only workaround to make drawing get to the printer seems to be first to save as pdf, and then print from pdf viewer. That is not actually a good workaround.
I attach a zip file containing the SVG itself along with a PDF from the pdf printer.
