Bug Description

dev 12777 ubuntu 12.04

the predefined filter "Fill and Transparency/Fill Background"
crashes inkscape probably coz it has an empty xlink:href="" feImage primitive

I attached a svg with the filter applied onto a simple rect

Open attached svg = crash

Reproduced with trunk r12782 on OS X 10.7.5.
(the file first opens ok, and the crash occurs e.g. when zooming to drawing content)

status: New → Confirmed

Crash not reproduced with 0.48.4. The oldest trunk build I have available on this machine (r10795) does crash however - likely an earlier regression introduced with the new cairo-renderer in trunk.

Also reproduced on Crunchbang Waldorf (Debian stable), Inkscape trunk revision 12782. Same trace as in comment #2.
For an unknown reason, I didn't manage to reproduce it on Windows XP yesterday (I'm pretty sure there was a xlink:href attribute in my test file).

Changed in inkscape:
status: Confirmed → Triaged
