Using CTRL+Z after using any of the color changing filters crashes Inkscape.

PS. By color filters I mean color effects (I'm using non-english Inkscape hence the mistake) - for example "less saturation".

Please provide information about your OS/platform and inkscape version (see Inkscape menu 'Help > About Inkscape'. If you installed a development snapshot build (e.g. from the PPA) which does not include the revision number, please check the package name (via package manager or the name of the downloaded 7z archive).

Does it happen in certain files only, or in a new document with a couple of simple shapes as well?

It's hard to reproduce but there is definitely something very wrong with undo in such cases - in my other file when I hit undo after using one of those effects there is no crash but two other groups become invisible - their opacity is still 100%, they can be selected (but only by drawing rectangle - not by clicking) and only way to make them visible is to use CTRL+SHIFT+Z or just use one of the collor effects again.

I've managed to make SVG out of it that doesn't contain anything copyrighted (apart from the yellow tile, the copyright is mine) - select the yellow tile and use Color -> Less Saturation. Then hit CTRL+Z - the witch and the net both disapear. What they share is they both use clipping.

I will try to create a file that doesn't have copyrighted images and crashes in such cases. It happened to me on different files that were making the whole Inkscape VERY slow because of lots of gradients.

The missing objects are still present as can be verified with 'View > Duplicate Window'.

This issue is already tracked in earlier reports:
- Bug #274038 “Undo on external extensions deletes imported pdf”
- Bug #248920 “Undo on external extensions deletes all clipped objects”

For the reported crash, it would be great to have a sample SVG file available for further investigation.

Related recent regressions in trunk (crashes with color extensions) reported earlier:
- Bug #1161003: Segfault, assertion failed when running extensions
- Bug #1113635: Color effects crash Inkscape 75% of the time
- Bug #1106031: trunk: hang (crash in gdb) on quit after live-previewing color-effect based extensions

Yes, this is the official inkscape bug tracker (i.e. it is the right place to submit bugs), and yes, Inkscape (stable as well as trunk) has many old bugs which are not fixed yet. Patches are welcome btw - Inkscape is a volunteer-driven open source project, with only a small number of active developers.

Closing - there is no test case available which would allow to further investigate the originally reported crash.

The other issue which came up in the comments (clipped and masked objects disappearing from canvas in current document view after undoing an extension) is already tracked in earlier reports as mentioned.

Please feel free to reopen the report any time if the originally reported crash re-occurs with latest stable Inkscape 0.91, and attach a test case along with steps to reproduce.
