I am having difficulties with Pattern along path extension when simple pattern is applied on more complex path. I would expect it to behave similar to Pattern along path from Path effect editor but it does not. The extension does not add new control points to pattern to follow path. As result the stretched pattern does not follow the path at all.
I is hard for me to describe. Please, look at attached .svg file.
I guess it could be "fixed" ugly way by using pattern with lots of additional control points, but it is rather inconvenient for me. The number of additional points and their position has to be adjusted for every skeleton path. Also result is not as good looking as Pattern along path from Path effect editor.

I have no experience with bug reporting. Feel free to tell me of any mistakes i made.
Not really a matter of performance (Inkscape is not slow when using the extension), but rather an issue with the extension's behavior.
