Pen displaced when using multi-monitor configuration

When using multi-monitor configuration (Windows 7, Inkscape 0.48.4) the pressure sensitive pen (wacom penabled touch screen from hp tx2500 series connected to a desktop) jumps out of the drawing area and draws some random-like pattern outside the visible area (to be found when zooming out). Pen configuration is set to screen. Everything works fine (including pressure sensitivity) when using a single screen configuration or when disabling the input device.
