Bug Description

I have just downloaded 0.48 on OSX 10.8.2

In the default new document, click Text > SVG Font Editor
Click New
Click font 1, Glyphs, Add Glyph
In another application (TextEdit) type alt-shift-K to produce the uF8FF apple character ""
Copy it
Double click beside glyph1 to edit "Matching String", Right click and select paste
Click Kerning, and select the 1st and 2nd character, Click Add Pair
Click on the added pair
Draw the kerning slider
App crashes.

Looks like a duplicate of Bug #706506 "[SVG Font Editor] Crash when kerning an empty pair"

Not reproduced with trunk revision 12277.

The only difference with my Debian tests is that the character is not rendered (I just see a box with the code) on XP.

@~suv, could you please confirm it's also fixed on OSX?

Not fixed for me on OS X 10.7.5:
1) Inkscape 0.48.2 (official package) doesn't display the '' glyph but instead the Euro sign in the SVG Font dialog, and crashes as described in the bug summary when dragging the kerning slider;
2) Inkscape 0.48.4 (local command line build) as well as 0.48+devel r12277 (both using GTK+/X11 2.24.13) display the '' in the SVG Font dialog, but already crash when clicking on the added pair (full backtrace attached).
3) Didn't bother to test with GTK+/Quartz build due to bug #1116468.
