opening an SVG file

Hi everybody,

If a file is already open, when I open a other file from the Inkscape menu, sometime Inkscape reopen the same file.
I found this on multiple operating systems and multiple Inkscape versions.

My operating systems is Ubuntu 12.10.
My Inkscape versions is 0.48.3.1 r9886.

Si un fichier est déjà ouvert, quand j'ouvre un autre fichier depuis le menu d'inkscape, parfois inkscape réouvre le même fichier.
J'ai constaté ça sur plusieurs systèmes d'exploitation et sur diférentes versions d'Inkscape.

Mon OS est Ubuntu 12.10.
Ma version d'Inkscape est la 0.48.3.1 r9886.

Could you please clarify: does this happen when you select a file from the menu 'File > Open Recent'?

There is a known conflict with Unity's global menubar, which breaks the sub-menu listing files recently opened in Inkscape (choosing an arbitrary entry of that list always opens the file at the top of the list), already tracked in

Thank you for the feedback confirming that the report is about the problem with the 'Open Recent' menu. To avoid tracking the same issue in multiple reports, I'll link this one as duplicate to bug #752674.

Please add a comment here (bug #1166617) and revert its duplicate status if you disagree and think these are different issues which need to be tracked and addressed independently.
