Hi!
It seems that Inkscape somehow interprets printer/kde messages about toner levels and cancels print job by itself- I repeated the experiment on another computer and inkscape also did not print. What is common to both of them - the toner levels in printers are below "optimum" ones invented by HP and therefore overridden.

It is important to note, that on the same computers, for example, LibreOffice prints without questions, there is just a system message about "No toner left"

I retried to printo to the third printer (not reporting toner levels) and got the printout.

There is one addition to the printing problems - inkscape (neither stable nor devel) is not able to print or generate correct pdf file from the drawing attached.

Hi!

There is the correct one.

Problems with it: it Inkscape (devel) is not able to print it correctly - everything is printed in thin lines only (the print preview also shows the same). In the best case in printout only thinnest/thickest lines differ.

Exporting the same drawing to png and printing the resulting image gives expected results. But there is also some strange things - exported png file ir displayed correctly only in Linux (Gwenview) and gimp (on both win and lin). If I open the png file in Irfanview (4.30), I get black rectangle (which also prints as such).

Besides the mentioned problems - drawing is opening normally only in Inkscape devel - opening on stable leads to increase of thickness of lines as if the original grid elements were scaled keeping size/thickness ration.

Just tested on Windows XP, Inkscape trunk revision 12224, and it doesn't look too bad when sent to a PDF printer (see attachment).

it looks good, but does not contain 3 kind of lines (at least my okular shows them in one thickness). As I said - only export to png ensures the look as needed.

the result should look king of that (attached, exported at 150 dpi). I tried to print to cups-pdf printer with resolution 300 dpi - I also got the result like you presented (wrong). May be it has anything to do with printing library in general (buggy memory limits or smth) - if i reduce vertical and horizontal patterns to be just 1 cm wide (big stripy cross on page), the pattern is printed right.
