pdf+latex export of germanic umlauts

The export of germanic umlauts ä, ö, ü and their big brothers Ä, Ö, Ü in the PDF+Latex function doesn't work. The result of an export of single letters on each line is as follows (ordered like mentioned above):

It would be a great pleasure to have the umlauts exported. It would be possible to use '\"a' instead - I know. It's just a matter of preference.
