Bug Description
I wanted to ask for new features and I've been redirected here from inkscape.org
I'm a visual designer and when it comes to using Inkscape I always find that it is more complicated to do basic things and to have a quick functional way of having control over simple things, in comparison with adobe illustrator or macromedia freehand.
For instance, one good thing would be to have a double indicator arrow for selecting an entire object with one mode, and with the other mode one could select specific parts (points or lines or bezier indicators).
It would save time and number of clicks that one has todo in order to obtain the same result, instead of selecting a toolbar icon to work exclusively on bezier indicators, and then change tool i order to select an object and so on...
Also, bezier indicators work differently in comparison with adobe illustrator, Inkscape doesn't offer the same control over them. (It is less easy and doesn't provide the same indispensable features.
Then, the quality of the vector lines showed is too poor for a very precise work.
I know that these very basic things which are annoying for a professional user are the same for any opensource vector-graphic software, but it would be functional to just start from here in order to emprove.
I would like to contribute (as a professionist in visual design) in terms of basic usability and functionality that the software lacks if someone may give me the chance to do it.
In my opinion there are many reasons why a professionist would not use opensource vector-graphic softwares, first of all because of the need of doing many steps in order to achieve a simple result which can be REASONABLY obtained in less time and actions, and not because the software is less mature than proprietary ones, there should be a logic behind which to build a software like this that should start from the perspective of who knows how to use something (professionists)

I mean there should be a logic upon which to build a software like this, a logic that should start from the perspective of who knows the steps and the logics to obtain specific results.
