Pattern along path effect not scaling with object

I'm not sure if this was an oversight and therefore a bug, or a known omission and therefore a feature request.

After applying the "Pattern Along Path" effect if you scale the object you've applied the effect to the pattern does not scale along with the object.

I've attached a screenshot to highlight what I'm talking about.

There are already buttons to allow for things like stroke width to scale in accordance, could a "scale effect" option be added?

Hopefully I'm not making a duplicate bug request, I searched and could find an open bug that was describing the issue I'm seeing.

Thanks for all of the hard work that has went into this program, I love using this program and am amazed at just how powerful it is when I stumble across features I hadn't discovered yet!

There is an extra setting for the width of the pattern of the path effect to be relative to the path's length: the path effect scales as expected if you switch from the default (absolute fixed width in px) to a relative width and readjust the initial width to your needs.

Sorry for the duplicate bug, after reading your response and the responses to 172137 I'm still not clear on how to make the width relative. Which window should I be looking in? The pattern along path window does have a width setting which is currently set to 1.0 however there is no option to set this to relative.

Could you elaborate?

Sorry I think I answered my own question, am I correct in assuming you're talking about the checkbox "Width in units of length"?

Enabling this does drastically change the shape of the object, however going back and tweaking the source pattern again fixes this, then scaling the object behaves normally. I'm I'm wrong and there is some other checkbox you were referring to please let me know.

Just trying to make this clearer for anyone else that comes along.

Yes, in the Path Effect Editor for the 'Pattern along Path' LPE (see attached screenshot).
