Bug Description
At the moment, we have 59 blocks of conditional code to support GTK+/Gtkmm 2.22.
For the sake of improved maintainability, we should eventually drop support for GTK+ 2.22. All major linux distros and Windows devlibs now provide GTK+/Gtkmm 2.24.
Unless there are any objections, I suggest dropping support for GTK+ 2.22 after 2012-11-05, when OpenSUSE 11.4 reaches end-of-life.

All tracked linux distros (except old LTS versions) and Devlibs now provide gtk+ 2.24. Does anyone object to dropping support for older Gtk+ versions now or shall we wait until after the Inkscape 0.49 release?
