Bug Description

Version: 0.48+devel r11420
OS: Ubuntu 12.04 32bit

Reproduction:

1. Create a path
2. Add the powerstroke effect
3. Adjust one or more of the width controls
4. Create another path
5. Copy the first path
6. Paste path effects onto second path

Expected: All LPE settings are transfered to the new path
Actual result: Both paths lose width settings while retaining other powerstroke properties

Not sure I understand correctly. Could you please specify how you paste the first path onto the second one?

Step 6 uses the Path/Paste Path Effect menu item, sorry about being unclear on that.

Reproduced with Inkscape 0.48+devel r11493 on OS X 10.7.4:

Pasting a powerstroke path effect onto a regular path produces unexpected results (resetting the offset_points to default values for _both_ paths).

AFAICT the original LPE definition is duplicated (based on the ID of the path effect), keeping all detailed information but not referenced by either of the two paths, and the attribute 'offset_points' of the original LPE definition (referenced by both paths) is reset to default values.

The original path stays fine for me at first, but if I edit the power stroke controls in the other path, the original path changes.
