Bug Description

I tried to open my file this morning and got the following report: Failed to load the requested file /Users/Simeon/Desktop/Ontwerp OSKK 2.svg.
I can't find a solution anywhere on this site and I don't know that much about programming. I worked serveral hours on this file, so I would very much like to recover it. I can open it in tex editor. Most other reports are about Windows, and I have a Mac....
I also tried to open it with OmniWeb so I hope that didn't ruin it any futher.
Version: Inkscape 0.48.1 r9760
Mac version: Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L31a)

Console message when trying to open the attached file in Inkscape 0.48.x:

This is a duplicate of
Bug #297070 “depth of xmlParserMaxDepth insufficient”
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/297070>
which has not been backported to the stable 0.48.x branch.

Attaching a "fixed" version of the file which opens ok in Inkscape 0.48.x and current trunk.

Note: I moved the problematic portions of the file into new layers to isolate them and flatten the deeply nested group structure (using a current trunk build on OS X 10.7.4).

If you viewed the file in a web browser, that's correct and to be expected: only the part inside the document page area is the "visible" content of the SVG file.

Thanks a lot. Most off what I'm reading about this bug I don't understand, but I did find out how to download the fixed version and with that you saved me several hours work!
