Bug Description

I have built a computer with a Intel DH55HC MB Hibernate does not work When i hibernate the computer does not hibernate and go's to lockscreen or freezes. Suspend does work though

UPDATE
Hibernate used to work in Lucid and I upgraded to 10.10 and it does not work

Hi jtl999,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

MAINLINE RESULTS
Linux 2.6.38-999-generic
Suspend does not work
Hibernate does not work
If a try to hibernate and suspend manuely on both stock and upstreame it complains about not enough swap
I have 4GB Ram and 575MB Swap

New results
I resized my swap
Now if I suspend it displays bootup status I saw when i booted up. It stays this way until I press the power button
Now if I hibernate it just displays a terminal with a line in the upper left of my screen and frezzes
at least no Not enough swap
