[Pager]Pager screenlet does not behave as expected

The pager screenlet only shows the current viewport, and does not seem to respond when clicking. The gnome workspace switcher shows four viewports.
Running via cli shows no error messages.
New install of 0.1.2 on openSUSE 11.1 RC1
Compiz is not enabled

It seems it only works with compiz enabled. Window managers it does NOT work:
1) XFCE4 (xfwm4);
2) beryl;
3) Metacity.

The same behavior exists on a fresh install of OpenSUSE 11.1 RTM/Gnome.

FYI, it DOES work under the Metacity WM as long as compiz is enabled. (I am running 2.24.0)

When compiz is enabled, compiz replaces metacity. You know compiz is WINDOW MANAGER.
Anyway, as screenlets are officially unmaintained and I figured out why this happens it doesn't really matter.
Pager screenlet should only work with compiz, as compiz uses viewports whereas metacity & xfwm4 use virtual workspaces to implement workspaces.
