Bug Description

Hello,

I have two users on my Ubuntu Lucid (User1 and User2) with the option no password at the connexion

First Ubuntu open the session of User1 with no password.

Second I switch to User2 from the user list in the indicator session applet. I'm logged with User2 with no password.

But when i will go back to User1 with the fast switch, the lock screen appear.

This problem don't appear when i use the "Change from User1" to switch from user, it's OK, Gdm appear, I select the User2, I'm logged with this user with no password

Thanks,

I'm unable to reproduce this issue in 12.10: when I'm logged in as user A, and click in the Session Menu on user B (who has no password), lightdm switches me to user B without any password prompt.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
