Bug Description

Dear developer,
I find her fantastic program
However, even though it is specified that has been developed for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
I advice to resolve crashes on application startup If executed on Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS,
because the operating system will be supported until 2017 and have a Ubuntu GeoIP active by default.

PS: I personally translated its application in Italian. When will incorporate the new PO italian language file?

Thank you for your time.

Thanks for reporting this issue.

In my opinion resolving the crashes would only be useful if Privacy Indicator could be used in 12.04. So I would only do it if enough functions of Privacy Indicator could be used in 12.04 without too much 12.04-specific code. I'll have a look at that.

I'm planning a new minor release with updated translations soon, probably next week.

About the crash of 12.04.5 LTS

I suggest you to create a small routine or script that primary detect the OS version
and if is 12.04.x or minor, shutdown Indicator Privacy with a message that inform that
Indicator Privacy is not compatible with this OS.

It's a simple method to avoid crash after start if the OS is not supported.
In Italy many people use Indicator Privacy but many people have 12.04.5 LTS installed.

I hope you can be welcomed my proposal because a crash
it's still a bad card for a useful program like this.
