WiFi: OFF doesn't actually disable wireless network

Bug Description

I repeatedly tried to disable my wirless network by selecting WiFi: OFF. At some point when it didn't do anything I selected other networks, and found out that apparently selecting the active network actually disables it.

On a side note, the label looks very bizarre. 'Turn off Wireless' would be much more natural.

Yeah, this is still unimplemented after indicator-network's gdbus port,
there's bug #684574 about the issue. I'll mark this as a duplicate of
that one.

Yes, if you click on a network which is either in connecting or
connected state it will be disconnected.

It's just a hack until we get a proper button widget. See bug #664071
for more.
