I should also not that the helper doesn't necessarily have to be a completely new daemon. It *could* be an existing one (eg NetworkManager), but the DBus connectivity API exposed by that helper would have to use a DBus path, interface and method that we could mediate on. Please talk to the security team if you are going this route.
