Bug Description

When I select a wifi network from the network indicator, it opens a confirmation dialog box with four options. When ever the wifi disconnects and tries to reconnect, I get this dialog box again, and it gets often lost behind windows (preventing the network from reconnecting). The dialog appears a bit superfluous, and only the fourth button ("OK") seems to have an effect.

indicator-netw 0.5.1+14.04. amd64
Ubuntu 14.04 daily

It could be possible that it is related to unity8-desktop-session-mir (?)

This looks suspiciously like a Notify OSD fallback alert. indicator-network shouldn't put up a notification of any sort when you select a network; it should immediately try connecting to the network.

I haven't see it lately. I will check again, maybe recent updates have solved it.

I'm still seeing it. Furthermore I'm seeing the indicator in my Unity 7 session. In the Unity 7 session this indicator should not be running at all, should it?

That definitely looks like a notify-OSD fallback. I'm wondering if the indicator-network secret agent is running instead of the one coming from nm-applet.

Next time you see this, while the dialog is open, could you do this:
    $ ps aux > ps_aux.txt
and attach the ps_aux.txt to this bug report. (just make sure it does not contain anything you don't want to be public).

This is a separate issue. bug #1233226.
