Bug Description

While trying to install the gpaste indicator for Gnome, metacity, (metacity login desktop) top bar the multi-load indicator now flashes between normal set of boxes and a set almost not viable. I can't seem to get a handle on moving it either. It's position has changed. It used the be first left to right from the middle. I have purged and reinstalled with no joy.

Well I seem to work it out, but it makes no sense to me. I installed a program via the CLI called peek and now it works. it is a similar program without the display, but just the drop down. It does however have a small box that reflects overall load. Go figure? My only issue left is they (along with other indicators) will not allow ALT+click to invoke move. Seems this key combination is exposed to the drop down menu. One more important fact I did delete the top bar and installed a new one with a dconf reset at least as a way to get them unstuck from the left side pile up! I keep several short cuts on the left. I use metacity because of the functionality of the workspace switcher. I often run 9 desktops for my work, so it is easier to switch different desktops then browser tabs.
Thanks James Niland

It misbehaved similarly to me also on latest Lubuntu 16.04. Now it doesn't flashes, but also doesn't show any updates on the graph.
