Bug Description

I use Ubuntu 15.04 and it's hard to select a desired indicator item on my panel, since the selection is not consistent sometimes. It also randomly changes from time to time - from one indicator item on panel (eg. Memory) to another (CPU, Swap, Disk, etc.) caused by no obvious reason.

Yeah, I can confirm that the indicator item changes randomly (mine has changed from no indicator to load to swap).

The indicator changes when you use the mouse wheel above the indicator. One way around that is to delete all other styles than the one used in the list.

It really does change the indicator when using mouse wheel above. Funny behavior. :)
Thanks for the explanation.

Unfortunately, your workaround doesn't seem to work. If I delete ANY item from the rest of my indicators (that I don't want to show), there's not even single indicator shown within the panel. I'm not able to reproduce your solution. If I revert the list and put my desired indicator at the bottom (?) then I'm back where I was.

Thanks to this report, I finally understood why does my indicator seemed be crazy (on my Ubuntu 15.10 with the 0.4-0ubuntu3 release from official repos) !

Jazz, to remove the text indicator just at the right from the icon indicator, you just need to remove items listed in the "Indicators items..." list (when I saw this, I was thinking of the graphical indicator items)
If you removed items from the "Menu items..." list, they disappear from the contextual menu.

This comportment is interesting but just surprising! Maybe it could be renamed or described somewhere in the GUI?

Michael : Thxs for the explanations.

Ah, ok - now I get it, thanks! Since I really wanted to keep my memory indicator in a textual form, the required steps to achieve this in order to avoid the mouse wheel issue:

1. Right click > Preferences > "Indicator items..."

2. Mouseover the System load indicator at the panel and scroll with it all the way to the top (default selection is item #7th and you want to select the #1st item on the list)

3. Within your "Indicator items..." list, select your desired indicator that you want to keep and click "Up" to get it to the top of the list

4. Remove all the remaining items from the list

That did the trick for me.

Wow that is so counterintuitive. Please make this more explicit in the UI
