Document text display functionality (was: network load shown in text)

Running 14.04 I see my network load in text at the end of the indicator.

I'm seeing something very similar. Namely my disk activity in text (actual numbers) at the end of the indicator. I'm running 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04. When I first installed it I only saw the graphs I expected. Then one time, after a reboot the numbers appeared.

Same here (with network load). Quite annoying because everything that is on the left of the text is moving around with the numbers changing their size.

Sorry for this, you can change the text shown by using the scroll wheel on the indicator or by going into the indicator items preferences dialog.

As a work around for people who don't want to see any text. Preferences->Indicator Items->Add. Create a blank entry by pressing the space bar and then enter. Then close the preferences dialog. Use the scroll wheel while hovering over the entry to switch to the blank text. Thanks for all your hard work mh21. Looking forward to version 0.5.

this workaround doesn't work for me. when i use scrollwheel nothing changes. when i click on text it changes brightness - and then multiload stops reacting to mouse at all until i kill it and start again

Go to: Preferences->Indicator Items->Add
Insert a blank line, then move it in the list using up and down, you should be able to disable text in this way.

Still present in 15.10.
Workaround that did work for me: remove all entries from Preferences->Indicator Items. After that, the text doesn't show.

This text is also very annoying and ugly because numbers displayed are not width fixed, so every refresh will move ALL you graphs left to right constantly. And I don't understand what info will actually be displayed (it seems pretty random), so it feels also very useless, at least very poorly brought into this application for a lot of reason.

Anyway, yes, removing all items in "Indicators Items" - whatever this is meant to be - seems to remove the text and give you your graph as they were before.

Within a couple of days ago appears a CPU indicator in text format in addition to the one in graphic mode.

16.10 here, easy workaround to bring back the "Net" item is to move it to the second last place in the "indicator items".

Looks like the bug may be caused due to an array being accessed in reverse.
