Bug Description

Binary package hint: indicator-me

With the updates of today the me-menu properly shows a label, indicating to which services you have configured gwibber to transmit the message.
I would expect this message automatically disappears as I start typing in the text field. However, this is not the case. Removing it by hand everytime is cumbersome and unneccessary. It also breaks expectations one has of a label.

Furthermore, when one changes in gwibber to which service one posts with the field, it does not automatically update the label in the me-menu. Once you remove the labeltext, close the me-menu and open it again, the label gets updated. This should happen automatically as the change is made in gwibber (thus in effect, whenever one opens the me-menu).

I feel that, if these two issues are fixed, the me-menu would finally start to be transparent and inherently useful as a result.

Addition: After boot-up, the menu text field will display "Post message" in black text. After removing this text, closing the menu, and reopening it, the proper "Post to <service1>, <service2>, etc..." will appear in grey.

This bug should be solved before Maverick 10.10 official debut, if you say that Ubuntu is "social from the start" it's not nice to have a "Post Message..." appended to your first tweet. I've installed Ubuntu to some friends and it wasn't cool saying "before posting message be sure to have deleted "post message" from the box.

This still occurs in Maverick. Additionally I don't even see a list of networks.

Maybe because you have just one service enabled to send messages.
