Bug Description

Running a live Ubuntu session (20130925.1 and several previous versions), the icon displaying the current layout does not change, even if the layout is changed. Deselecting and selecting again the option "Show current input source in the menu bar" under "Text Entry Settings", corrects this problem and the icon represents the layout.

This happens when the live Ubuntu system is started by pressing a key to enter the boot menu, to directly select the live mode. It then asks for the GUI language. The bug exists when the user either selects English (in which case the user adds additional layouts by hand) or another language (tried Greek and German).
However, the problem does not appear when the user lets the system boot and then select live mode from the graphical menu (there is a list of English variants already selected). I have not tried the behaviour on an installed system.
