- Left click "Time & Date Settings..."
- Left click "Clock"
- Ensure "Monthly calendar" is unticked
- Left click on the time in the top bar
- Tick "Monthly calendar"
- Left click on the time in the top bar

Current behaviour:

From looking at the screenshot I think it is showing the calendar flush with the left edge of the date time, so if your username is longer than mine is (i.e. "David"), then that may mean it fits on your screen.
