Hmm, works for me. I believe the dialog has a timeout to not continually update. Perhaps you didn't wait long enough? Try closing the dialog to be sure it triggers.

No, the time still hasn't updated even 60 seconds after closing the window.

A bug I had submitted was marked a duplicate of this one, though I had a different problem. When editing the year field, attempting to change the year to a Holocene Era year by adding a "1" at the beginning, the "1" is automatically deleted when you click out of the year field.

No, it looks fixed in indicator-datetime 0.3.90-0ubuntu1 in Ubuntu 12.04 beta 1.

Marking as incomplete since the problem seems to have magically fixed itself, and "Fix Released" doesn't smell right to me :)

I am using Ubuntu 12.10. The version of indicator-datetime is 12.10.2-0ubuntu3.

I am still facing the exact same problem.

If I use set time automatically from the Internet, I get wrong time and I am not able to set it manually.

The only solution I could find was to run "date" command from the terminal and set it manually.
