Bug Description
There used to be a workaround by modifying /etc/default/
Lot's of people prefer to have American English Locale, but Monday as the first day of week (google "gnome first day of week" for proof).
Such a setting exists in Windows, Mac OS X, KDE, XFCE, Evolution, Lightning and all other calendar applications I've used.
Hope for understanding from Ubuntu Devs.

The fact that this isn't possible to change makes the OS feel unprofessional and also inconsiderate towards the huge parts of the world who has Monday as the first day (like China, which I understand is a growing market for Ubuntu). The international standard (ISO) also says that Monday is the first day: https:/
