Bug Description

I've been trying to use custom icons (not from installed themes) in submenus of appindicator, but all my efforts have been fruitless so far. Documentation does say that I shouldn't use custom icon for appindicator icon itself (and there's even a workaround for it), but nothing is said about submenus, therefore this must be a bug.

I'm using Python. Setting stock icons for gtk.ImageMenuItem works fine, but all other ways of providing icons fail (starting from gtk.gdk.Pixbuf, gtk.Image and ending with setting default icons with gtk.IconFactory).

Maverick, indicator-application 0.2.9-0ubuntu1

I expect this to get fixed when we update libappindicator with the menu parsing code from appmenu-gtk. But I'll leave it open to ensure that we keep track of it.

I believe that this should be fixed in the current version of libappindicator using the dbusmenu parsing code. I'm going to mark it as fixed, please reopen if that's not the case.
