Bug Description

Pressing Shift with any key seems to hide any open indicator.
This makes it particularly hard for any indicator that requires user input, like for example synapse indicator.
One can do any calculation as long as you don't use +,%, *, ( and ) because all of them require pressing "Shift" key.
Same happens when you press the 'Alt' key.

Same problem here... but not only in indicators, all around in the GUI. For instance create a new folder in nautilus... when typing the name if press shift the folder disappears. In gedit, when doing a search if press shift the search box disappears... looks like it is interpreted as a kind of shorcut... no clue.

I'm having the same issue described by udit mahajan. I do not, however, share JM (jose-mingorance)'s situation, as I can use shift elsewhere in the GUI (thus being able to create folders with uppercase characters). I believe, therefore, that JM is issuing a different problem than ours.

Pressing shift does not automatically cancel the input operation in the Indicator Synapse; it only happens when I try to enter the modified key (that is <Shift> and then <Key>).
