Bug Description

Should be easy, but no idea how the algorithm will actually behave and what the "optimal" parameters will be.

This is more difficult than I thought, a significant part of the DrL code must be updated and I am not sure that it is worth doing it, since we would have difficulties with the "upstream" changes.

Done, but it is quite slow. Maybe we just need to check more cells in 3d than in 2d.
