Bug Description

I could not install igraph on scientific linux on which we have an intel compiler suite. I am not sure what all this means because I am simply reporting what the system administrator (of the grid computing infrastructure in Western Canada universities), mentioned to me. He fixed the bugs and installed it so I can use it. However, it would have been great if I had been able to install the package myself in the very straightforward way it is supposed to be.

it seems that only when R is compiled using GNU compiler does igraph also install well using GNU compiler, and not otherwise.

cheers,

We have made a few changes recently in the codebase to improve compatibility with icc, but we haven't tried it specifically to combine an icc-based igraph with R that was compiled using a GNU compiler. If your system administrator could attach the changes that he performed on igraph to make it work to this bug report, that would be great.
