All indicators crash when I click on sound indicator

Ubuntu 11.10 AMD64
All indicators crash when I click on sound indicator in Unity, Unity 2d or Lightdm. It only occurs if composite extention is disabled.

Apparently because IDO uses off screen windows when the composite extension is disabled this will cause the crash.
