Web site looks different in IE 6.0 and Firefox 3.0

I'm testing my installation of IdeaTorrent, from ArchLinux, running IE 6.0 and Firefox 3.0, and the pages look different. I wouldn't care, normally, but the Internet Explorer rendering is better.

The specific problem is this: The icons shown on the right of each of the main titles in the right panel, are not shown as icons in Firexof, but as text. So, basically, I get the titles twice. For example, my title bar reads:

Idea------Idea------Popular---Popular---... and
sandbox---sandbox---ideas-----ideas---------so on

(sorry about the dashes, but multiple spaces are not allowed).

No. The demo looks just fine. I see it the same way (right) in IE and
Firefox.

But my own site looks the way I described in the original post (wrong).
I'll reinstall from scratch and try to reproduce the bug.

This bug is solved by assigning the right access parameters in .htaccess files
