Bug Description

Laptop - Lenovo Legion Slim 5 2023
Processor - AMD 7840
Graphics card - NVIDIA RTX 4060
OS - Linux Mint
Kernel Version - 6.5.0.35
System dual booted with Windows 11 and Linux mint, both on separate SSDs.

I can reliably reproduce this issue on Linux Mint and Ubuntu on kernels 5.15 all the way up to 6.8. The machine shuts down in following cases and resets the keyboard backlight pattern back to default, turns off battery conservation mode that was set using Windows Lenovo Vantage program.

1. If the laptop is suspended and the charger is plugged or unplugged
2. If the laptop is set to suspend on lid close while charger is plugged in and the lid is closed

The laptop power button LED blinks blue rapidly for a second or two and the laptop turns off. Restarting the laptop resets the keypad backlight to its default state even if the backlight was turned off.

I have not been able to find a crash report on Linux Mint. It appears that Linux Mint does not think this is a crash.

Blacklisting the ideapad_laptop kernel module does prevent this issue from happening but it prevents other functionality that ideapad_laptop module provides.

Please let me know if you need additional information.

Thank you very much
