Bug Description

Binary package hint: gdm

The term "authentication failure" is not a particularly user-friendly message for when the user has entered an incorrect password, and provides no real extra information that the user might want to know. It doesn't specify exactly what went wrong, or what could be done about it.

It would be a very small matter to change the string to "password incorrect" or something similar.
