Bug Description

The gnome component combobox has a behavior annoying.
If the list of items is very large, you see a box with items blank (see image attached).
Is also bad to course a very large list, as a font list. It would be interesting to put a scroll bar for those cases.
This is a problem that makes users angry, demonstrates a lack of care on the part of developers and should not be difficult to resolve.

I can reproduce this in the 'Open...' dialog in OpenOffice.org Writer in Jaunty. This becomes more severe the closer to the bottom of the screen the dialog is.

The problem is the combo box puts the first item in the list ("All Files") under the mouse pointer. All other options are further down the list, but there isn't enough screen space, so they are hidden.

summary: - gnome - combox does not show all items (ungly behavior)
+ Not all options are shown in combo boxes with too many items - items are
+ hidden off screen and list becomes ugly
