Bug Description

Using Ubuntu 9.04 I get a notification that says something about "... .local domain...". It disappears before I have finished reading the notification. I have not found a way to recall previous notifications so that I could google for a solution.

It is annoying to have this “error notification” every single time I start my computer. Of course I forget to prepare myself for “fast reading” and taking notes so that I can solve the problem.

I think it useful to be able to recall your previous notifications and perhaps have a solution suggested where possible.

I agree! Had the same problem some days ago. I do not know, what this notification was about.

There could be added a entry in System Log Viewer for recently shown notifications.
System Log Viewer should be more user-friendly, or should have an user-friendly mode at all.
I think about a mode, that displays only critical bugs, shown notifications, warnings or errors shown at startup or shutdown,...
