Bug Description
I installed gimp with
sudo apt-get install --no-install-
and the install printed
Suggested packages:
gimp-help-en gimp-help gimp-data-extras
so after gimp 2.8.10 installed successfully I ran
sudo apt-get install --no-install-
but this installed gimp-help-common (2.6.1-1) and gimp-help-en (2.6.1-1), help for the OLD VERSION OF gimp.
This is actively unhelpful for 90% of gimp users who are better off browsing up-to-date documentation at http://
Until it's updated, gimp-help-en *shouldn't* be a recommended package for gimp, and the package information should have a disclaimer "Help for the old 2.6 version of gimp, this documentation hasn't been updated since 2011."
