re,

when i go to the theme parameters, i select a new cursor (there is cursors white and red) and the old cursor continues to be visible when i'm in kde applications or QT applications, so i think the new theme cursor is not corretly updated for non-gnome applications.

Actually I think that the cursor theme for kde is set differently than in Gnome and therefor you would have to change the cursor theme in kde for it to change in kde. Therefor this is not a bug.

but i have only gnome installed!... the problem is in a same and only ONE session! Example: i have a window with firefox and the cursor is updated, but i my windows of konversation, the cursor is the older.

So, a reload of X resolved that, but it is impossible to make a reload in real time also for kde applications?

bye

Sorry, you said "to be visible when i'm in kde" which meant to me that you are using kde as a desktop at the time of the problem. To be honest I have no idea what the problem is or if it is fixable...then again I am only an artist :-)

This is because of the fact QT applications (such as Amarok and konversation) set their cursors through kcontrol. The easiest way to fix it is to install and run kcontrol and set the cursor there so it's the same / similar as the one set in gnome.

It's a round-about way but it's the only way to do it at the moment.
