crashes on startup with tiling window manager

Hello,

this is <http://bugs.debian.org/551006> but has also been reported on ubuntu LP <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hugin/+bug/450383>

For some usere hugin crashes immediately upon startup. Don Armstrong has identified usage of a tiling window manager as possible common denominator and has provided a backtrace + offered to provide a coredump.

The Ubuntu bug has been closed as "fix released", except for that Leandro complained it still happened for him. He is not contactable (as far as I could determine) and not subscribed to that bug.. I'd say: Mark as fix released here too.

File a new report if it happens again.
